Our Calgary childcare centre was thrilled to welcome the YMCA Storytime team for an interactive reading experience with our little learners. Storytime is always a highlight, but having special guest readers added extra excitement and a strong sense of community.

The YMCA team shared bright, engaging stories that helped children use their imagination and build early literacy skills. From silly characters to exciting adventures, each story captured their attention and inspired conversations among our curious readers.

Children enjoyed cozy circle-time reading, lively group activities, and chances to join in the stories. They answered questions, acted out moments, and shared their ideas with confidence. These experiences supported their creativity, communication, and self-expression in fun, natural ways.

We are grateful to the YMCA Storytime team for visiting our centre and helping spark a lifelong love of reading. Storytime encourages imagination, language growth, and joyful connection, which are all important parts of early learning.
